Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Welcome to Delhi! Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest and settle in. In the evening, join a welcome meeting to get acquainted with your fellow travellers and learn more about the retreat’s itinerary.

Day 2: Exploring Delhi’s Historical Landmarks

Start the day with a sunrise yoga and Pranayama session, followed by breakfast. Head out on a sightseeing tour to explore Delhi’s rich heritage. Visit Raj Ghat, the memorial for Mahatma Gandhi, then marvel at the grandeur of the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. Next, admire the serene architecture of the Lotus Temple and the historic Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Journey from Delhi to Jaipur

After an energizing morning yoga session, drive to Jaipur, known as the Pink City. On arrival, check in and freshen up before exploring some of Jaipur’s renowned sites, including Jantar Mantar, the City Palace, and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). In the evening, enjoy a stroll through Jaipur’s colorful bazaars, famous for traditional handicrafts and textiles.

Day 4: Jaipur’s Regal Forts and Temples

Begin with a morning yoga practice. After breakfast, explore more of Jaipur’s architectural gems. Visit the stunning Jal Mahal (Water Palace), followed by Amber Fort, a hilltop fortress with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Later, visit the Jagat Shiromani Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, and end with a visit to the beautiful Birla Temple, built from white marble.

Day 5: Jaipur to Agra – The Mughal Marvels

Start the day with yoga and breakfast, then travel to Agra. After checking in, set out to explore the grand Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, known as the “Baby Taj.” In the evening, stroll through Agra’s bustling markets and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 6: Sunrise at the Taj Mahal and Journey to Mathura

Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After breakfast, continue to Mathura and Vrindavan, sacred cities associated with the life of Lord Krishna. Visit the renowned ISKCON Temple, the beautifully illuminated Prem Mandir, and the Banke Bihari Temple.

Day 7: Spiritual Arrival in Rishikesh

After a morning yoga session and breakfast, journey to Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga. Check into your hotel and take part in an evening city walk to become familiar with Rishikesh’s ashrams, temples, and riverside lifestyle. Rest for the evening in preparation for a deeply enriching spiritual experience.

Day 8: Discovering the Essence of Rishikesh

Begin the day with yoga and meditation, then visit the mystical Vashishta Cave, a natural rock cave with a tranquil atmosphere ideal for meditation. After lunch, visit the historic Parmarth Niketan Ashram, walk across the famous Ram Jhula Bridge, and explore the Beatles Ashram, where the band once stayed and practiced meditation. In the evening, experience the Ganga Aarti fire ceremony, a powerful ritual along the banks of the holy Ganges River.

Days 9 & 10: Yoga Immersion and Personal Time in Rishikesh

The final two days are dedicated to deepening your yoga and meditation practice. Begin each day with a guided yoga and pranayama session, then explore advanced asana techniques and delve into the philosophy of yoga. Each afternoon, take advantage of free time to visit local shops, explore art and craft markets, or rest by the river. In the evenings, gather with your fellow yogis for group meditation and discussion.
