Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take the day to acclimatize to the high altitude, as Leh is situated at 11,500 feet above sea level. In the evening, you can visit Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument offering panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains. You can also explore Leh Market and the Leh Palace, a former royal residence of the Ladakh kings. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Leh – Local Monastery Tour

After breakfast, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Leh’s famous monasteries and cultural landmarks. Visit the Thiksey Monastery, one of the largest and most beautiful gompas in Ladakh, renowned for its architecture and spiritual significance. You will also visit Hemis Monastery, the wealthiest and most famous monastery in Ladakh. In the afternoon, explore the Shey Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh, and admire the grand Statue of Buddha. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley (160 km / 5-6 hours)

After an early breakfast, drive to the enchanting Nubra Valley via the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. As you descend into Nubra Valley, you’ll be greeted by striking landscapes, rolling sand dunes, and snow-capped mountains. In Nubra, visit the Diskit Monastery, known for its towering Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, experience a Bactrian camel ride on the sand dunes of Hunder, a surreal cold desert surrounded by mountains. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (274 km / 6-7 hours)

Leave early in the morning for Pangong Lake, driving through the Shyok River route. This scenic drive offers spectacular views of the rugged mountains, riverbeds, and remote villages. Upon arrival, be captivated by the breathtaking beauty of Pangong Lake, famous for its clear blue waters and changing hues. The lake is shared by India and China and is set amidst dramatic landscapes that leave visitors spellbound. Spend the evening by the lake, soaking in the natural beauty. Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh (225 km / 5-6 hours)

After a peaceful morning at Pangong Lake, where you can take in its ever-changing shades of blue, head back to Leh via Chang La Pass, one of the highest passes in the region. En route, stop at the Druk Padma Karpo School, famously known as the “Rancho School” from the movie 3 Idiots. Once you arrive in Leh, you’ll have time to relax or explore the local markets for souvenirs like Pashmina shawls, prayer flags, or handicrafts. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6: Leh – Excursion to Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib

Start your day with an excursion to the Magnetic Hill, a gravity-defying phenomenon where vehicles appear to roll uphill. Continue to the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a beautiful Sikh temple built in memory of Guru Nanak. You’ll also visit the Sangam Point, where the Zanskar River and Indus River meet. On the way back to Leh, visit the Hall of Fame, a museum built by the Indian Army in honor of soldiers who fought in the Kargil War. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh Airport for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Leh and Ladakh adventure.
